Today at Peculiar Creative we’ve compiled a mini list of stock image websites for you to source images or vectors for your website or social campaigns. Finding stylish, professional imagery can really transform your identity, whether it be for your website or for your social media feeds. Actually choosing an image from the thousands available is a pretty tough decision as there is so much choice!
So here are the three websites we recommend, starting from free (everyone loves a freebie right!), to one off purchases and finally a batch option.
One of our favourites as it’s free, all the photos are kindly donated by amateur photographers and there are some stunning images. They are licensed under the Creative Commons Zero, which means they are free to use/edit on any project you may have and no attribution required. Happy days!
This is a handy website for one off purchases and includes vectors too. So ideal if you are looking for a logo or just a photo. One off purchases start at £9 + VAT so not too big an outlay for your business startup. If you’re then looking to adapt your chosen vector in some way, you could employ the service of a graphic designer (cough, cough) to bring your brand identity to life.
If you are looking for a batch of set of images/vectors particularly with a website in mind then Shutterstock offer a package which is pretty good value, 5 images/vectors for just £29 + VAT.
We realise that sometimes our clients have their own ideas about what they like, so choosing your own images can be an ideal solution for you to be involved in the creative process. And not everyone is a budding David Bailey so taking your own photographs can be a challenge. We hope you liked this post and found it helpful.
